On the dates the tournament was originally scheduled (24th May – 7th June), several actions have been rolled out as part of the #RGEnsemble initiative. While tennis fans have enjoyed watching a number of legendary matches on rolandgarros.com and on fft.fr, this project has also enabled us to raise money for the AP-HP Foundation. The Roland-Garros eSeries by BNP Paribas was also adapted to keep tennis alive and raise money for charity.
Roland-Garros eSeries by BNP Paribas: Do not miss the final on 7th June!
The grand final of this charity edition of the Roland-Garros eSeries by BNP Paribas will be held on Sunday 7th June.
Since 1st June, a number of celebrities have played against each other on the online version of the Tennis World Tour-Roland-Garros Edition video game to bring their community together and encourage people to donate. In a friendly yet competitive atmosphere, four players managed to battle their way through to the semifinals of the tournament. After defeating actor Kev Adams and Stéphane Houdet, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is set to play musician Florent Dasque in the semifinals. In the other half of the draw, Fiona Ferro got the better of Paul-Henri Mathieu and Grégoire Barrère, and will play against Nicolas Peifer for a place in the final.
At 6pm (CET) on Saturday 6th June, the semifinals will take place to decide which two celebrity players will play against each other in the grand final, which will be broadcast on France TV’s digital channels as well as on Tennis Channel and on Team Vitality’s Twitch feed on Sunday 7th June, again at 6pm. The winner of this tournament will then test their skills against a Team Vitality player in an exhibition match!
