11:16pm Ruud overcomes Rune in four
Last year's runner-up and world No.4 Casper Ruud has reached the semi-finals for the third time from his last five Grand Slams, overcoming fellow Scandinavian Holger Rune 6-1, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 in an exciting night-session affair.
Ruud improves to 5-1 head-to-head against the sixth-seeded Rune and to 16-5 on clay this season.
The Norwegian will face Alexander Zverev in the final four.
10:20pm Not over yet!
Rune strikes back and takes a 41-minute third set to narrow his deficit to 1-6, 2-6, 6-3. The 20-year-old Rune fired 16 winners in that set.
Is this match going to turn around, or will Ruud regain control?
9:37pm Ruud keeps up the pressure
Norwegian 24-year-old Ruud is now up 6-1, 6-2 on Rune, who looks flat as he walks off court for a toilet break.
Ruud is 4-1 head-to-head against Rune in previous meetings, but lost their most recent clash, in the Rome semi-finals on May 20.
8:59pm Advantage Ruud
No.4 seed and last year's finalist Casper Ruud has raced to a 6-1 lead in 28 minutes against No.6 seed Holger Rune.
This is a rematch of last year's quarter-final and it's the pair's sixth meeting overall, all of which have come on clay.
7:24pm Zverev through in four
No.22 seed Alexander Zverev has advanced to the sixth Grand Slam semi-final of his career with a hard-fought 6-4, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 over an inspired Tomas Martin Etcheverry in 3hr 22min.
Zverev will be appearing in a third consecutive Roland-Garros semi-final and awaits the winner of tonight's clash between Holger Rune and Casper Ruud.
Excitement building for women's semis
It's a quick turnaround for the ladies as they return tomorrow for their singles semi-finals. We caught up with Polish former world No.2 Agnieszka Radwanska and Belgian ex-world No.1 Kim Clijsters - both playing in the Legends Trophy by Emirates this week - to discuss Iga Swiatek's dominant run to the last-four stage.

6:24pm Zverev takes the third
From 0-2 down, Zverev clinched the next five consecutive games and closed out the 46-minute third set to take a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 lead against Etcheverry, who has gone off court for a toilet break before the fourth set begins.
5:42pm Etcheverry levels the match
World No.49 Etcheverry has taken the second set in 41 minutes to level the quarter-final against Zverev 4-6, 6-3 and has started the third set with a break of serve.
Etcheverry hadn't dropped a set this fortnight en route to the quarters and is searching for his 20th tour-level victory of the season today.
4:55pm Zverev inches ahead
Last year's semi-finalist Zverev takes a 53-minute opening set 6-4 off Etcheverry.
The German dropped just three points behind his first serve, and five behind his second to take the lead against Etcheverry.
4:43pm Tight opening set
No.22 seed Alexander Zverev and first-time Grand Slam quarter-finalist Tomas Martin Etcheverry are engaged in a close affair on Court Philippe-Chatrier. Zverev managed to break serve but is fighting hard to consolidate at 4-3 in the first set.
3:30pm Swiatek makes it 7-0 against Gauff
The scoreline doesn't tell the full story, given how hard Gauff pushed Swiatek today, but the world No.1 still walks away with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over the 19-year-old American to reach the semi-finals at Roland-Garros for the third time in four years.
Swiatek is now 7-0 in matches against Gauff, 14-0 in sets. The 22-year-old Pole will next face Beatriz Haddad Maia.
"Step by step, another semi-final, thank you Paris," wrote Swiatek on the camera lens following her 1hr 28min victory.
2:50pm Iga takes the lead
A break to love in game 10 has given Swiatek a 6-4 advantage on Gauff after 51 minutes of play.
Swiatek is gunning for a 25th career victory against a top-10 opponent today.
2:45pm Gauff going toe-to-toe with Swiatek
In a rematch of last year's Roland-Garros final, Coco Gauff is taking on defending champion Iga Swiatek for a place in the semi-finals.
Swiatek opened up a 3-1 lead but Gauff has pegged her back and we're on serve late in the first set.
Gauff is 0-6 in previous meetings against Swiatek and this would be HUGE for the 19-year-old if she can pull off the upset.
1:39pm Bia makes history
Beatriz Haddad Maia has become the first Brazilian woman to reach the Roland-Garros semi-finals in the Open Era (Maria Bueno reached semis here in 1966) and the first to reach a Grand Slam semi-final since Bueno in 1968 (US Open).
The No.14 seed upset No.7 seed Ons Jabeur 3-6, 7-6(5), 6-1 and now awaits Iga Swiatek or Coco Gauff, who are up next on Court Philippe-Chatrier.
12:56pm Haddad Maia forces a third
We're going three here on Court Philippe-Chatrier as Haddad Maia has snatched the second set tiebreak against Jabeur, levelling the match for 3-6, 7-6(5).
Mixed doubles: Kato/Puetz reach final
Japanese-German duo Miyu Kato and Tim Puetz are through to the mixed doubles final with a 7-5, 6-0 victory over Indonesian Aldila Sutjiadi and Dutchman Matwe Middelkoop.
They will face Bianca Andreescu and Michael Venus in the championship match.
Juniors: Korneeva through to quarters
Reigning Australian Open junior champion Alina Korneeva has booked her spot in the last eight of the girls' singles draw with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Australia's Emerson Jones.
The 15-year-old Korneeva is bidding to become the first girl to win the opening two junior Grand Slam titles of the season since Magdalena Maleeva won the Australian Open and Roland-Garros titles (as well as the US Open later in the year) in 1990.
She is also bidding to become the first player to win back-to-back Grand Slam girls’ singles titles since Belinda Bencic’s victories at both Roland-Garros and Wimbledon in 2013.
11:53am Ons takes first set
Tunisian Ons Jabeur has grabbed the opening set 6-3 in 45 minutes against No.14 seed Beatriz Haddad Maia, who came through a four-hour match against Sara Sorribes Tormo two days ago to reach a maiden Grand Slam quarter-final.
The seventh-seeded Jabeur is the first African woman to reach the last eight at Roland-Garros since Amanda Coetzer in 1997 and the first African player to reach the quarter-finals at all four Grand Slams in the Open Era.
Bonjour à tous!

No.7 seed Ons Jabeur and No.14 seed Beatriz Haddad Maia kick off proceedings at 11:00am, each searching for a maiden Roland-Garros semi-final spot.
Defending champion Iga Swiatek will then face the player she beat in last year's final, Coco Gauff before No.22 seed Alexander Zverev meets surprise package Tomas Martin Etcheverry.
The night session will feature a rematch of last year's quarter-final between Casper Ruud and Holger Rune.
