Memories of a champion
Martina Navratilova
A tennis legend with 59 Grand Slam titles to her name (18 singles, 31 doubles and 10 mixed doubles), Martina Navratilova has always enjoyed a special relationship with Roland-Garros. Quarter-finalist on her first appearance in 1973 at the age of 16, it was in mixed doubles the following year that she experienced her first major thrill at Porte d'Auteuil. Twice crowned singles champion (1982, 1984), before reaching the final three times against her great rivals Chris Evert and Steffi Graf, the former world No.1 recalls her best memories and anecdotes, and rightly analyzes the golden era of a constantly evolving discipline.
