Dimitrov to face Sinner

Jannik Sinner will no doubt soon learn that it's Grigor Dimitrov waiting for him in the last eight after the Bulgarian battled past Hubert Hurkacz on Lenglen this evening. Dan Imhoff takes us through their three sets of entertaining tennis...

23:17

Forza Jannik, through in four

Jannik Sinner is back in the quarter-finals at Roland-Garros after coming from behind to beat the last Frenchman in the draw Corentin Moutet 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-1 in 2 hours and 41 minutes on Chatrier.

The French lefty is given a hero’s reception as he leaves the court, but ultimately he couldn’t cope with Sinner’s power and all-court tennis. The Italian goes through to play Grigor Dimitrov in the last eight on Tuesday.

Sinner is now just two wins away from becoming the first ever Italian to reach the top of the ATP singles rankings. If he reaches the final in Paris he will leapfrog Novak Djokovic into top spot.

22:31

Sinner a set away

It's been another impressive, disciplined performance from world No.2 Jannik Sinner who eases through the third 6-2 against Corentin Moutet to leave himself a set away from a seventh Grand Slam quarter-final.

22:02

Jannik back in it

No.2 seed Jannik Sinner is starting to figure out the unique challenge of playing tennis against Corentin Moutet. The Italian starts to dominate the rallies as he moves through the second set 6-3 to level at one set apiece. That's also taken a bit of the sting out of the French crowd.

21:25

First Paris quarter-final for Dimitrov

Grigor Dimitrov fights, scraps and dives his way past Hubert Hurkacz in three entertaining sets on Lenglen to move into the last eight here for the first time in his career.

Covered in red dust - and blood - from more than one fall during that match, you can see what it means to him when he celebrates with his fans after a 7-6(5), 6-4, 7-6(3) success.

The 33-year-old will play either Corentin Moutet or Jannik Sinner on Tuesday.

Speaking about how long it's been for him to get past the fourth round in Paris, he says: "It's taken me 15 years!"

Moutet into one-set lead

Well, well, well... there's a buzz going around Roland-Garros after the last Frenchman in the draw Corentin Moutet takes a surprise one-set lead over Italian second seed Jannik Sinner. The lefty sprinted into a 5-0 advantage inside a noisy Court Philippe-Chatrier and finished off the set after around 45 minutes. Can Sinner respond?

20:23

Sinner-Moutet under the lights

As Grigor Dimitrov goes up two sets to love 7-6(5), 6-4 on Hubert Hurkacz on Court Suzanne-Lenglen, it’s time for the night session to begin on Chatrier next door.

No.2 seed Jannik Sinner will be hoping to silence a sell-out crowd, the lion’s share of which will be giving it everything to inspire the last remaining Frenchman in the draw Corentin Moutet.

Grigor up, Carlos talks Tsitsipas

The only singles match on court right now is the fourth round contest between Grigor Dimitrov and Hubert Hurkacz, and it's Grigor who's up a set on Lenglen after squeezing through the first set tiebreak 7-5.

Ons Jabeur keeps going in Paris with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over young Dane Clara Tauson on Lenglen. It puts the Tunisian into the quarter-finals again where she'll play Coco Gauff. It will be the second time Jabeur will appear in the last eight in Paris having reached the same stage in 2023. Navarro strikes again

What a stay American Emma Navarro is having in Paris. She warmed up for Monday’s fourth round singles against No.2 seed Aryna Sabalenka by taking out the top seeds in the doubles on Sunday afternoon.

Navarro and Diana Shnaider combined to beat No.1 team Elise Mertens and Su-Wei Hsieh 6-2, 6-4 on Court 5 to move into the third round.

Navarro is one of four players still in both women's singles and doubles draws as we head into the second week. Coco Gauff, Mirra Andreeva and Jasmine Paolini are all still alive in both.

Victoria Chiesa took time to chart Navarro’s recent progress ahead of the first Grand Slam fourth round match of her career when she takes on two-time major winner Sabalenka on Day 9.
