Always proving extremely popular with spectators, the Wheelchair and Quad tennis competitions feature spectacular and closely-fought matches every year. In 2022, the draws and schedule of these events are changing to offer more visibility to all participants.

A competitive line-up of big names

To find out who will take over from Diede De Groot, Alfie Hewett and Dylan Alcott, who triumphed in the Wheelchair and Quad tennis events last year, make sure you watch the various events that will be held from 31st May to 4th June. The competition promises to be fierce, and there will be even more participants in the draw in 2022.

The Wheelchair tennis tournament, sponsored by The Adecco Group, will feature two draws of twelve players, compared to eight in previous years. It is an opportunity to see even more matches and will guarantee the presence of the ten best players in the world, in both the men’s and women’s tournaments.

Wheelchair tennis on Centre Court

This year, the Wheelchair and Quad tennis schedules will echo those of the other events at the Parisian Grand Slam. This means that the semifinals will be held on 2nd and 3rd June, and the final will be held on Saturday 4th June. This change will allow several matches to be scheduled on Philippe-Chatrier court (Friday and Saturday, from 11am) to give more visibility and more exposure to these disciplines!

A day dedicated to wheelchair tennis

As well as giving more exposure to wheelchair and quad tennis in the 2022 tournament schedule, the popular “All in a wheelchair” day, sponsored by The Adecco Group, allows spectators to learn more about wheelchair tennis. On Friday 3rd June, spectators will be invited to have a go at this discipline in order to better understand this sport which, in addition to tennis strokes, requires the player to master many other movements. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet the players that compete on the tour and even play a few rallies with them!

To watch these singles or doubles matches, or attend “All in a wheelchair” day, head to the official Roland-Garros ticketing website!
