Juan Martin Del Potro came out at 6-6 (5-5) and won the first two points played on Court Suzanne-Lenglen to take the first set in his quarter-final against No.3 seed Marin Cilic. The Argentine went on to reach his fifth Grand Slam semi-final, his second at Roland-Garros. He last reached the last four here in 2009 when he lost to eventual champion Roger Federer in five sets.
