Halep hauls herself past Riske

Halep is a fine mover on clay but she seemed awfully out of sorts, mistiming her groundstrokes and guilty of 16 unforced errors in the opening stanza, allowing the inspired Riske to speed 5-0 ahead. Halep was so mad with herself, she even smacked her racquet into the clay twice in frustration — and didn’t even do a very effective job of that!
