Thanasi Kokkinakis and Nick Kyrgios entertained all the way through the tournament. Loudly cheered on by their enraptured fans, the Australian mavericks won a well-deserved maiden Grand Slam title. Their madcap run to glory saw them dispose of the No 1, 3 and 6 seeds before finishing the job off against compatriots Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell in the final.
