Three to see: Serena's big test
Venus and Serena Williams have triumphed twice in the women’s doubles on the red clay in Paris - on their debut in 1999 and again in 2010 - and on Wednesday they started their campaign for another Roland-Garros trophy with an exciting first-round win against the Japanese pairing of Miyu Kato and Shuko Aoyama 4-6 6-4 6-1. Their appearance on a packed Court 3 against the No.14 seeds marked their first doubles outing at a major since capturing a sixth Wimbledon crown together in 2016.
