This is a photo of defeat met with a standing ovation like a victory, an emblematic farewell and almost a change of era.

I love the fact that in this photo you can see his [Rafael Nadal's] face, head down, and of course the ray of light that appeared just then, at the start of a tournament with gloomy weather, to cast his shadow as if he were going to stay on the clay.
