At the start of the second set of his match against Dominic Thiem, it began to look grim for Alexander Zverev, who started grimacing and feeling the back of his left leg. The young German later revealed that he thought the injury had begun after some lively rallies in the first set and just continued to worsen. "I mean, I could barely move. I couldn't serve. I couldn't really do anything," shrugged Zverev, who went off to have an MRI scan on the injury.
