In the wheelchair men’s singles, Shingo Kunieda of Japan beat Gustavo Fernandez of Argentina 7-6(5) 6-0

Shingo Kunieda, 34, entered Roland-Garros ranked No.3 in the world, but defeated No.2 Gustavo Fernandez in straight sets to collect his seventh title on the Paris clay, his second Grand Slam trophy of the year and to regain his world No. 1 ranking.
