Welcome to the big leagues! As early as January, Jannik Sinner demonstrated that his irresistible rise was only headed in one direction. After defeating the seemingly-invincible Novak Djokovic in the last four (ending a run of 33 consecutive wins at Melbourne Park), he then outlasted Daniil Medvedev in a crazy, riveting final (3-6, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 in 3 hours 44 minutes) to win the Australian Open – the first Major title of his career.
