Despite his semi-final elimination at Roland-Garros, Jannik Sinner left Paris as the freshly minted world No. 1. Unburdened by the distinction, the Italian then won his first tournament on grass in Halle, becoming the eighth world No. 1 (since the creation of the ATP rankings in 1973) to pick up a title in his first outing as the game’s highest ranked player.
