Facing Casper Ruud, one of his academy’s residents, in the final, Rafael Nadal never faltered on his way to clinching his 14th title at Roland-Garros, his 22nd in the Grand Slam. This was a new achievement for the Majorcan, who had never before won the first two Majors of the season in the same year.
