Just like at the Australian Open and at Roland-Garros, Rafael Nadal had to dig deep to get the better of Taylor Fritz in the quarter-finals (3-6 7-5 3-6 7-5 7-6 (10-4)). Having suffered an abdominal injury during the match, the Majorcan was forced to withdraw from the tournament ahead of his eagerly-awaited semi-final against Nick Kyrgios.
