But the most impressive run at the first Major of the season was courtesy of none other than Rafael Nadal. Though his career had been hanging in the balance just a few weeks earlier, the Majorcan won the ATP 250 in Melbourne before unleashing all his talent, passion and mental strength at the Australian Open, particularly against Denis Shapovalov in the quarter-finals.
