Having won the title in Berlin and as the new favourite to win in London following Iga Swiatek’s defeat, Ons Jabeur once again made history and had her dreams within reach when she progressed to the final of the 2022 tournament. But despite her ability to keep her opponent on her toes and control the rallies, the pressure of the event and her adversary’s skill denied her the first Major title of her career. “I gave everything I could, I have no regrets. I’m proud of my result. I believe in myself. I know that I’ll come back and win a Grand Slam. I want to stay positive. I think it’s the start of great things for me,” she justified after the match.
