Look back at 2022: the WTA season in pictures
In Fort Worth, Caroline Garcia took her season to the next level by winning the WTA Finals! At age 29, she clinched the most prestigious title of her career, while becoming the second-ever French woman to etch her name on the Masters trophy after Amélie Mauresmo in 2005. Another great achievement for the player who is now World No.4. “It’s the end-of-year Masters with the eight best players of the season, so it’s really hard to put into words. It was a fantastic season for me, I had some incredible moments. From winning WTA 250 tournaments right up to the Masters 1000 in Cincinnati. A first Grand Slam semi-final, and this win here… It took many years of hard work, and I’m so happy and proud of everything I’ve achieved this year.”
