Among the players who played consistently well over the course of the season, we must not forget Jessica Pegula. Showing great regularity, the 28-year-old American player made three Grand Slam quarter-final appearances (Australian Open, Roland-Garros and US Open) before winning the first WTA 1000 tournament of her career in Guadalajara. Now World No.3, she also entered the Top 10 for doubles, thanks to her excellent results alongside Coco Gauff.
